Resolution Copper awards $110m in contracts for Arizona project

Resolution Copper, the joint venture between Rio Tinto and BHP developing an underground copper deposit near Superior, Arizona, has awarded roughly $110 million in contracts for work at the site. The project, one of the largest undeveloped copper resources in North America, has faced years of litigation and permitting disputes, including challenges from Native American groups over the Oak Flat land exchange.
