Taylor Farms recalls salsa and guacamole over salmonella risk

Taylor Farms has issued a recall of salsa and guacamole products over the risk of salmonella contamination. The privately held California-based produce processor supplies packaged fresh foods to grocery retailers and restaurant chains across North America, meaning recalls can affect products sold under multiple store and brand labels. Salmonella infection can cause fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps, and can be serious for young children, elderly people and those with weakened immune systems. Consumers were advised not to eat the affected products.
