That theme has a longer arc: Africa's critical minerals endowment is increasingly the fulcrum of supply-chain and geopolitical strategy, drawing Western, Chinese, and Gulf capital into competition for cobalt, copper, and rare earth offtake. Offsetting the industrial bid was renewed Middle East risk, which kept broader indices pinned. The Nordic reporting season delivered a split verdict.
